Brain Tumour Support with TasteTech

We recently visited TasteTech to judge a Halloween baking competition and talk to staff about Brain Tumour Support’s mission and impact in the Bristol area.

Through a series of fundraising events and employer-matched contributions, the specialist flavourings and ingredients manufacturer has raised £1,000 for Brain Tumour Support. This will fund immediate support for 10 families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis.

Sarah Morris, TasteTech Programme Manager said: “At TasteTech we believe in giving back to the local community. Each year we host a number of fundraisers to support charities who are doing wonderful work in and around Bristol. After learning more about Brain Tumour Support, we wanted to do our bit to help this very important cause, and were proud to present a donation of £1,000.”

Emma McKeown, Brain Tumour Support CEO added: “Every day in the UK, 45 people are diagnosed with a brain tumour. Our vision is that no-one should face this diagnosis alone and we provide specialist support for patients, carers, families and friends for as long as it’s needed. Our work is only possible thanks to the generosity of individuals and businesses. We are so grateful to everyone at TasteTech for their contribution, which will help 10 families in the Bristol area who are dealing with a brain tumour diagnosis. It was wonderful to meet the team, sample the delicious cakes and award prizes to their star bakers!”
