During May, everyone taking part in the company’s Steps Challenge pledged to walk 150,000 steps throughout the month. The challenge encouraged the team to spend more time outdoors while raising over £600 for our support services.
That amount could fund a course of six individual counselling sessions, helping someone begin to process and come to terms with the impact of a brain tumour diagnosis.
Talia Swift-White, Social Value Champion at Gleeds, said,
“Brain Tumour Support is a wonderful charity and we do our best to support in any way we can. Their team have been helpful in creating fundraising pages and posters for us – they made everything easy to fundraise!”
The team’s next challenge will be in September, when they will take on the Abergavenny Three Peaks. We wish the team lots of luck!
