Our dedicated telephone support line

Speak to someone who understands

A brain tumour diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and sometimes you simply need someone to listen. Our confidential telephone support line is often the first step in accessing personalised support from Brain Tumour Support.

Whether you are living with a diagnosis, supporting someone you love, or unsure where to turn next, our Support Co-ordinator, Teresa, is here to help you understand what support is available and guide you to the right services.

If calling feels difficult, you can also request support online and a member of our team will arrange a suitable time to contact you.

What happens when you call

When you contact us, there is no assessment or pressure — just a supportive conversation focused on what you need.

  • We listen first and understand what’s worrying you
  • We talk through your situation at your pace
  • We explain the support available to you and your family
  • We help connect you with the right specialist support if needed

If you’re unsure whether your situation is something we can help with, please call anyway — no concern is ever too small.

Reaching out felt like a big step, but from the moment I called, I felt listened to and understood. Having someone calm and knowledgeable talk things through made everything feel more manageable.

Living with the hidden impact of a brain tumour diagnosis

A brain tumour diagnosis can affect far more than treatment and appointments. Many people tell us the emotional, practical and long-term impact is often unseen by others.

Throughout March, we’re sharing real experiences that highlight the hidden impact of brain tumours — from diagnosis and uncertainty to supporting someone you love or navigating life after loss.

If you recognise your own experience, or want to better understand what support looks like at every stage, you can explore this year’s awareness campaign.
