Learn about the origins of our charity and the story that drives our dedication to our cause.
At Brain Tumour Support we are committed to ensuring that no one facing a brain tumour diagnosis travels their journey alone.
Donations from philanthropists, charitable trusts, and foundations play a pivotal role in our ability to provide and enhance the highest standard of care for individuals affected by brain tumours, along with their families, friends, and carers. Your contribution enables us to:
Charitable trusts remain our largest source of income and we are grateful to those trusts who support us year on year. If you are a trustee and would like to get involved with our work in your community please reach out to Donna who would be delighted to discuss opportunities for collaboration.
We thank each and every one of the charitable trusts and foundations from whom we receive a significant part of our fundraising income each year. Without their generosity and support, we simply would not be able to offer our vital support services. Our particular thanks go to the following trusts for recent grants and their ongoing support of our work.

The Garfield Weston Foundation has always said that it is ‘proud to be a friend to the country’s small but mighty charities!’ We are very proud to be one of those charities, awarded a £30,000 grant in December 2023. This made a crucial difference when demand for our support services increased by 50% over six months, and the cost of living crisis made fundraising ever more challenging.

We are extremely grateful to the John James Bristol Foundation for a £15,000 grant providing vital funding for our support services in the Bristol region.

Thank you to The Summerfield Charitable Trust for a crucial grant helping our work to support people in and around Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

Thanks to the Eveson Trust who have been incredible supporters of our work over many years, specifically helping our support services in Worcestershire, Herefordshire and West Midlands.

We are very grateful to the Stratford Town Trust whose generous funding helps us to ensure that personalised and local support is available through our groups, specialist services and regional Brain Tumour Support Professional.

We are grateful to the National Lottery Community Fund for supporting our work in Wales, helping to fund specialist support and bringing it closer to communities where isolation can be a particular problem. This has made a crucial difference to the health and wellbeing of people like Martyn. Bi-lingual information about our services is also being distributed in order to reach more people who are currently unaware of the vital help available.
