Support for healthcare professionals and their patients

Working alongside healthcare professionals to support brain tumour patients

Brain Tumour Support provides free emotional, practical and financial guidance for people affected by a brain tumour diagnosis across the UK.

We work in partnership with healthcare professionals to help ensure patients — and those supporting them — can access specialist support alongside clinical care, from diagnosis onwards.

Support for your patients and how to refer

Our specialist Support Team works directly with patients, families and carers to provide personalised support at any stage of the brain tumour journey.

All services are free of charge and confidential, and available across England, Wales and Scotland.

What support can include

  • One-to-one emotional and practical support
  • Specialist counselling
  • Welfare benefits advice and practical guidance
  • Online and face-to-face support groups
  • Trusted information and downloadable resources
  • Peer support through moderated online communities
  • Ongoing support during treatment, recovery and long-term survivorship
  • Support during recurrence, palliative care or bereavement where needed

Support is tailored to the individual and delivered at a pace that feels right for them.

Refer a patient

You can refer a patient at any stage — from diagnosis onwards.

Referrals are quick and straightforward. With patient consent, you can complete the referral form on behalf of your patient, or share the link so they can contact us when they feel ready.

Prefer to share the link directly? You can send the referral page to patients and families to complete in their own time.

All referrals are handled sensitively and in confidence by our specialist support team.
