Corporate support making a difference in Wales

We are incredibly grateful to the businesses that choose to stand alongside families affected by brain tumours. This week, we’re shining a spotlight on Cardiff-based Leka Systems and the difference its generous support will make in Wales.

A £1,000 donation with local impact

Leka Systems is a leading systems company providing home-improvement solutions, including conservatory warm roofs, orangery flat roofs, modular home extensions and carports.

The company’s £1,000 donation will help Brain Tumour Support provide specialist support to individuals and families facing the impact of a brain tumour diagnosis.

Providing a lifeline in Wales

Gavin Davies, Support Team Leader and Support Professional Cymru, explains why corporate and community support is so important:

“Every day in the UK, 45 people are told they have a brain tumour. This shock diagnosis can lead to uncertainty, isolation, loss of earnings and loss of independence. At Brain Tumour Support, it is our vision that no one faces a brain tumour diagnosis alone.

“Leka Systems’ generous donation will make a big difference to our community, funding the equivalent of one face-to-face support group at Velindre Hospital in Cardiff. Patients tell us it’s a lifeline, and we’re so grateful for the support of corporate and community partners that helps fund this service.”
