It’s National Thank You Day!

2 July 2023 2 July 2023 | Support

Today is ‘National Thank You Day’, an opportunity to say thank you for everyone and everything that makes our communities great places to live in.

One of our volunteer Trustees, Stephanie Lawless wanted to specifically say thank you to everyone in the Brain Tumour Support family, and that includes YOU, reading this blog!

As a relatively small charity, but one which has a huge impact and aspirations, I am very mindful of the fact that we can only exist because of the hard work, devotion and passion of so many people.

Together we form the Brain Tumour Support family, and on behalf of the Board of Trustees, I want to acknowledge the contributions made, both small and large, by so many people. Now in no particular order because each group mentioned is amazing:

Our team of staff is incredible. With Tina at the helm, skilfully guiding the charity for more than 20 years, we are honoured to have a team of highly experienced, knowledgeable and passionate staff who really care about making a difference and being there to provide the highest level of service for anyone affected by a brain tumour diagnosis.
Thank you.

Like most charities, we simply couldn’t be here without our volunteers. Some of our volunteers have been supporting us for years, and others are newer, but we appreciate each and every one. For giving up their time, using their skills and supporting us in so many different ways, they are all vital.
Thank you.

We are also grateful to our service users, who connect with our support and feedback to us so that we can continue to develop in our aim to provide the best support to them. It means continually evolving as the world changes, and being open to individual needs and ideas so we can grow and grow.
Thank you.

The expert clinical teams we work alongside are so dedicated to their incredible work, constantly pushing for advances so that diagnosis and care continue to get better and better. We are hugely grateful for the close collaborations with our medical colleagues so that together we strive to provide wrap-around support for every patient and family in their journey.
Thank you.

Our partner organisations and charities share our passion and commitment to improve outcomes for brain tumour patients and make a positive difference to the lives of all those affected following a diagnosis.
Thank you.

All of our donors and fundraisers, whether as individuals or organisations (small local businesses or large corporates), clearly none of this would be possible without them. Whoever they are and whatever the size of the donation, we appreciate it so much.
Thank you.

Those who share our social media posts, tell others about how we help or otherwise help to raise awareness of the work we do and the need for support, you make such a difference to us.
Thank you.

In short, every contribution, whatever the size, makes us stronger and enables us to help more and more people affected by a brain tumour.
THANK YOU!

Stephanie Lawless, 2nd July 2023
