On Thursday we celebrated with Chris, who has been volunteering with Brain Tumour Support for an impressive 15 years!
Chris, who volunteers in our offices every Thursday, carries out a variety of tasks and is a much-valued member of our team. Chris says:
“I have done a huge variety of jobs for the charity, including admin work, creating display boards for events, putting fundraising packs together and helping at events.
“Fifteen years ago, I could never have imagined attending events and helping with fundraising, but now I really enjoy it. Volunteering at Brain Tumour Support makes me very grateful to be doing something so rewarding and helping other people.
“While some of the jobs may seem small, when you add up the number of hours I have saved the charity, it actually makes a big difference. I feel I am appreciated and I have also improved my interpersonal skills. It has been life-changing for me.”
We celebrated with a cake, cards and photo book with messages from team members past and present. Thank you Chris for everything you do!
