Leek Cricket Club’s annual Charity Ball has raised vital funds for Brain Tumour Support.

The black tie event, attended by past and present club members, family and friends, raised £1,000 for our charity. This will help provide emotional support and practical guidance for individuals and families impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis.

Claire Vernon from Leek Cricket Club commented: “Brain Tumour Support is a charity very close to my heart because of the wonderful support they have given me and my family. This year, Club Chairman Brian Mellor asked us to nominate a charity for our annual ball and Brain Tumour Support was the obvious choice. We were proud to raise funds for this amazing charity so they can help more families in need.”

Sarah Nelmes, Fundraising Coordinator from Brain Tumour Support added: “Every day, we are humbled by the generosity of groups and individuals who help us continue to support families facing a brain tumour diagnosis. Leek Cricket Club have raised an incredible amount which will help us provide immediate support to 10 families in need. We’d like to say a big ‘thank you’ to the committee and everyone who donated so generously.”
