Friends take on golf challenge for Brain Tumour Support

We love sharing news of our wonderful supporters and last month, friends Ollie and Lloyd took on a challenge to complete a non-stop, 45 holes of golf. This number is significant because in the UK, 45 people a day are diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Inspired by two loved ones affected by brain tumours, the duo’s dedication raised £800 as part of the Sian Norman Champion Fund. These funds will help provide vital support to others facing a brain tumour diagnosis.

Following the challenge, Ollie said: “Two people who mean so much to us have been diagnosed with a brain tumour. They both, and their families inspire us beyond words, their strength and courage in adversity, they are our heroes! We really wanted to do something to support this incredibly important cause, for the people who are so bravely fighting this condition, and to those who are always by their sides every step of the way!” 

Sarah Nelmes, Brain Tumour Support’s Fundraising Co-ordinator, said: “Every day we are inspired by the amazing people who fundraise for us, giving up their time and energy to help Brain Tumour Support. Ollie and Lloyd are a brilliant example of that spirit. Their non-stop golf challenge was no small feat, and they rallied their friends and family to get behind it. A huge thank you from all of us – the funds raised will help us continue to support more families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis.”
