We know signing up for a fundraising event can bring up a few questions — especially when it’s something new or flexible like Walk for Support.
This page is here to help you feel confident, supported and clear about how it all works. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please don’t worry — our friendly team is always happy to help.
Walk for Support is a flexible walking fundraising event for Brain Tumour Support. You can take part in memory of a loved one, in support of someone affected by a brain tumour, or simply to show your support.
You choose when, where and how you walk, with a shared focus in June and the option to take part at any time of year.
The main focus dates are 20 to 21 June, but you are very welcome to take part before or after those dates if another time works better for you.
Many people choose a date that feels meaningful or fits around their life — there’s no pressure to walk on a specific day.
Anywhere you like.
You choose your own route — whether that’s close to home, at work, in your local park, or somewhere special to you. Walk for Support is completely self-led.
The registration fee is £10 per person.
This helps cover the costs of delivering Walk for Support, including fundraising packs, administration and participant support.
Yes. Walk for Support is a sponsored fundraising event.
We kindly ask everyone who signs up to make a reasonable effort to raise funds for Brain Tumour Support. A suggested fundraising target of £50 helps ensure your walk has a meaningful impact, but every pound raised really does make a difference.
Once you sign up, you’ll be encouraged to set up a JustGiving fundraising page linked to the Walk for Support campaign.
You’ll also receive a digital fundraising pack with ideas, tips and downloadable social graphics to help you get started.
There’s no right or wrong way to take part.
