Walk for Support at school, college or university

Bringing people together through fundraising

Walk for Support works really well in schools, colleges and universities because it’s flexible, simple and easy to adapt. It’s about participation, not performance, and it can fit around your day without disrupting learning.

How schools, colleges and universities can get involved

You can shape Walk for Support to suit your students and setting.

Ideas include:

  • A sponsored walk during the school day
  • A class, year-group or house challenge
  • A whole-school step goal
  • Staff and students walking together
  • Linking walking to wellbeing or enrichment activities

Walking can take place on site, locally or as part of everyday movement.

A few practical notes

  • Sign-up must be completed by an adult aged 18 or over
  • Children and young people are welcome to take part with appropriate supervision
  • Schools and colleges manage their own safeguarding arrangements

Why take part

Walk for Support helps students

  • Learn about kindness, empathy and community support
  • Get involved in positive fundraising
  • Understand how brain tumours affect families
  • Feel part of something meaningful

We can provide digital certificates suitable for schools and groups if helpful.
