Our supporter charter

Our promise to supporters

Everything we do is focused on providing support for people affected by a brain tumour. We can only do this thanks to the kindness of our supporters, who give their time, money, skills and encouragement to help make our work possible.

We never take that support for granted. This is our promise to you.

We will treat you with respect

  • We will value every supporter as an individual.
  • We will be honest, respectful and clear when we ask for support.
  • We will never put pressure on anyone to give.
  • We will take extra care when communicating with anyone who may be in vulnerable circumstances.

We will protect your personal information

  • We will keep your personal details safe and secure.
  • We will only contact you where we have a lawful reason to do so.
  • We will respect your communication preferences and update them as quickly as possible when you ask us to.
  • We will never sell your personal data or share it with other organisations for their own marketing purposes.

We will be clear about how donations are used

  • We will use donations carefully and responsibly to support our charitable work.
  • Where you ask us to use your donation for a specific purpose, we will do our best to honour that request.
  • We will claim Gift Aid where we are able to and where you have confirmed your eligibility.
  • We will publish clear financial information in our annual reports.

We will listen and learn

  • We welcome feedback, ideas and suggestions from our supporters.
  • If we get something wrong, we will take it seriously and do our best to put it right.
  • We have a separate complaints procedure and will respond to complaints as promptly and fairly as we can.
