Help 100 families after a brain tumour diagnosis

Our Big Give Christmas Challenge aims to raise £10,000 to provide immediate crisis support to 100 families following a brain tumour diagnosis.

There is no time to prepare for the shock of a diagnosis. Families may suddenly need someone to help them understand what happens next, talk through their fears and find practical support. From January 2027, funds raised through this campaign will help us offer that first layer of care.

Our estimated cost is £100 per family. This covers an initial helpline call, a session with a Support Professional, an initial benefits and welfare session, and coordination of their support.

Save the date: your gift could go twice as far

The Big Give Christmas Challenge opens at midday on Tuesday, 1 December. Share this page or plan a fundraiser now, then return during campaign week to donate through Big Give.

When a brain tumour changes family life

A brain tumour diagnosis can affect far more than health. Alongside appointments and treatment decisions, people may face fear, changes to family life, financial worries and uncertainty about the future. Partners, children, friends and carers can need support too.

Brain Tumour Support is here to listen and offer help shaped around each person and family. Our services include personal support, specialist counselling, support groups and practical guidance.

How your donation is doubled

During the Christmas Challenge, eligible donations made through our Big Give campaign page are matched while funds remain available.

  • £25 could become £50
  • £50 could become £100
  • £100 could become £200

The Big Give donation page will show you whether match funding is available when you give.

The difference your support makes

In 2025/26, Brain Tumour Support:

  • Supported 6,254 people through Support Professionals, groups and online forums.
  • Delivered 667 specialist counselling sessions.
  • Helped individuals and families access £202,729 in benefits they were entitled to.

Behind every figure is someone finding help at a difficult time. Your generosity helps us continue to be there.
