We find it works well to keep your cakes and savoury sweets at a fairly similar suggested donation amount.
Make sure you’ve got a collection pot within easy reach for people to pop their money in! Alternatively, you may just want your guests to donate on arrival and then they can help themselves to a cuppa and a cake.
You might also have ideas about other ways to raise funds, perhaps a raffle or asking your guests to take part in a sweepstake game where they can donate for a guess – maybe a ‘guess the weight of the cake game’.
Don’t forget to ask guests to Gift Aid their donations where possible – you will have a form in your fundraising pack for guests to complete (they must complete this themselves). Find out more about Gift Aid.
