Brain Tumour Support and Macmillan Cancer Support have been working in partnership since 2014 to build our team of specialist Brain Tumour Support Workers and Coordinators, offering individually tailored face-to-face, telephone and online support to people with any type of brain tumour.
Under Macmillan’s funding model for developing new services, our Brain Tumour Support Worker team in England was jointly funded by Macmillan and Brain Tumour Support from 2014-2020, with approximately one-third of the funds coming from Macmillan.
In 2019 we were also proud to extend our Macmillan partnership into Wales and launch the country’s first ever specialist support service for brain tumour patients and their families.
In March 2020 the funding agreement in England came to an end, but our partnership remains and our Support Team staff continues to benefit from fantastic learning and development opportunities as well as all the other resources that Macmillan offers its partners
