I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives. Before working in education, I studied Law at Liverpool University and gained a valuable insight into how the benefit system works whilst working with their advice clinic, before moving into employment with local government services and the local authority.

I then worked in education for over a decade but have always been attracted to the charity sector and providing support. I understand the struggles that people can face when trying to access the benefits system and applying for the support available, and I have a personal interest in ensuring people are able to access all they are entitled to. That is my key aim.

I am also a Mum to two primary aged children, one of whom has complex additional needs, and I spend a lot of my free time ‘out and about’ with them – they certainly like to keep me busy! I enjoy walks in the countryside, visiting the beach and making the most of the world around me. I am also an avid reader and – when my children allow it – will always try to engage in new literature.
