Sarah Lucas

Head of Fundraising and Operations

Every day I am lucky to see just how special Brain Tumour Support is and the difference it makes to the lives of people living with the impact of a brain tumour diagnosis. The dedication of the entire team to ensure no one faces that journey alone is truly inspiring.

I have over 15 years of experience working in fundraising and joined the charity in January 2021 as Philanthropy Manager leading our Major Gifts, High Profile Supporters and Trust and Foundations work. Picking a favourite part of my role is hard, but I love connecting donors with the charity and showing them the impact of their support. That and the amazing stories people we support share with us about the impact the charity has on their lives.

Away from work, I love to spend time with my husband and two young children, go to gym, have coffee with friends, get stuck in to a good TV series and head to a spa. I have always been a keen traveler and cannot wait to show my little ones the world. In April 2023 I ran my second London Marathon (first was 2011) to celebrate Brain Tumour Support’s 20th anniversary. I was so proud to wear our running vest and raise money for such an amazing charity. When I had to dig deep (hitting the wall is a thing) I thought about our incredible clients and their journeys and it kept me going right to the finish line.
