Specialist Counsellor

Hello, I’m Debbie, and I was welcomed into the Brain Tumour Support family as a specialist counsellor in January 2026.

Having originally trained as a nurse, which was my career for a good few decades, I then trained to be a counsellor and worked with mental health, stroke and women’s charities prior to working in hospices for seven years.

So, I have always held a keen interest in supporting people and their families, and I am now excited to be working in this amazing charity and team. It always feels a privilege to be able to use my skills and experience to offer a therapeutic space and be alongside people when it’s most needed.
