Make your workout sparkle for Brain Tumour Support

Images of park yoga and a mature couple doing a park runWhy not take your regular fitness routine and add a sparkle? Whether you’re a runner, yogi, CrossFit enthusiast, or love a good dance class, turn your favourite workout into a sparkling fundraising event this November!

Get your fitness group, friends, or colleagues involved and either get sponsored for your efforts or collect donations for a one-off, sparkle-themed fitness session.

Fitness ideas to make your Sparkle Day shine

  • Sparkling gym workout: Add some glitter to your gym session! Whether you’re into lifting, cardio, or circuit training, encourage your gym buddies to wear something sparkly and donate to join in.
  • Shimmering yoga or pilates class: Turn your usual calm into sparkle! Bring out your glittery leggings and mats, and ask for small donations from participants to join a special “glow yoga” or “sparkling Pilates” session.
  • Glittering CrossFit challenge: If you love high-intensity training, why not spice up your WOD (Workout of the Day) with a glittery twist? Wear sparkle gear and invite your gym group to donate while tackling the challenge.
  • Skipping with sparkle: If you prefer working out solo, grab a skipping rope, add some glitter to your workout gear, and share your efforts on social media with the hashtag #SparkleDayBTS to inspire others to join or donate.
  • Dazzling dance classes: Add some shimmer to your dance routines! Whether you’re into Zumba, salsa, or ballroom, invite your dance group to a special sparkle-themed class and fundraise together.
  • Indoor sports fun: Don’t let the November chill stop you! Organise a sparkling indoor game of five-a-side football, badminton, or a spinning class at your local gym—encourage each participant to make a small donation for taking part.

How to set up your sponsored sparkle fitness event

  • Register: Sign up for Sparkle Day 2024 and start planning your sparkling fitness event, whether it’s running, yoga, CrossFit, or even a dance class! Choose any day in November to host your activity.
  • Fundraise: Set up your online fundraising page and share it with friends, family, and colleagues. Encourage them to sponsor your fitness challenge—whether you’re hitting the gym, doing a sparkling yoga session, or lifting weights with glittery flair—all in support of Brain Tumour Support.
  • Sparkle up your fitness: On Thursday, 28 November, or any day in November, do your chosen activity with as much sparkle as you can! From a 5K run to a CrossFit session, or even a sparkly Zumba class, get your fitness group involved and make it a fundraising event.
  • Share the fun: Capture your workout with photos and videos, and share them on social media using the hashtags #SparkleDay2024 and #SparkleforSupport. Inspire others to join the cause by showcasing your sparkling fitness effort!

No matter how you like to stay fit, adding some sparkle to your routine can make a huge difference! Every glittering workout supports the amazing work Brain Tumour Support does for individuals and families affected by brain tumours.
