What the Winter Raffle is and who it helps

The Brain Tumour Support Winter Raffle is a simple, fun way to win prizes while helping fund specialist, tailored support for anyone affected by a brain tumour. Tickets cost just £1 each — every entry makes a real difference.

Key details at a glance

• Tickets are £1 each. Payment by debit card only (no PayPal).
• Eligibility: You must be 18 or over and a resident of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales). Residents of Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands are excluded under their own gambling laws.
• Gift Aid cannot be applied to raffle tickets (donations only).
• Paper ticket entries: return completed stubs and monies to Brain Tumour Support, 7a St Mary Street, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire BS35 2AB. For order/return deadlines, see our Order raffle books page.
• Winners will be notified as soon as possible after the draw. Winning ticket numbers will be published online or can be requested by calling 01454 414 355.

Fantastic prizes to be won

• 1st prize: £500 cash (kindly donated by McCarthy Marland)
• 2nd prize: £100 Amazon Gift Voucher
• 3rd prize: £50 Restaurant Favourites Voucher

Entries close at 12 midday on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. The draw takes place on Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at 12 noon. Winners will be contacted directly, and winning ticket numbers will be published on our website once verified.

Understanding the raffle rules

We want taking part in the Brain Tumour Support Winter Raffle to be fun, fair, and easy to understand. Below is a friendly summary of the main rules — you can also read the full Terms and Conditions any time.

• You must be 18 years or over and live in England, Scotland or Wales to enter.
• Each raffle ticket costs £1. All proceeds support Brain Tumour Support’s work with patients, families and carers.
• Tickets can only be purchased online using a debit card or by ordering paper raffle ticket books.
• Entries close at 12 noon on Tuesday, 31 March 2026. The draw will take place on Wednesday, 1 April 2026 at 12 noon.
• Raffle entries and prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Full details can be found in the official Terms and Conditions.

We’ll always make sure the raffle is run fairly, transparently, and in line with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Our raffle and the law

Yes — the Brain Tumour Support Winter Raffle is run in line with UK law and local licensing requirements. We make sure everything is fair, transparent and responsible.

• Licensed: Brain Tumour Support is licensed by South Gloucestershire Council (Licence number 060). Promoter: Brain Tumour Support, 7a St Mary Street, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire BS35 2AB. Responsible person: Sarah Lucas.
• Who can play: You must be 18 or over and a resident of Great Britain (England, Scotland or Wales). We can’t accept entries from Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.
• Payment: Online tickets must be purchased with a debit card (credit cards aren’t accepted).
• Responsible play: We’re committed to safe, responsible fundraising. If you’re concerned about gambling, please see our Responsible Gambling information or use our Self-exclusion form.

Ticket prices and where your money goes

Tickets cost just £1 each. Every ticket helps fund vital support for families affected by a brain tumour.

• Tickets can only be purchased with a debit card (credit cards aren’t accepted).

• If you’re buying paper raffle ticket books for an event, each ticket is still £1. You can order raffle books here.

Gift Aid and raffle tickets explained

Unfortunately, raffle tickets aren’t eligible for Gift Aid — and here’s why. Gift Aid can only be added to voluntary donations, not to payments made in exchange for something of value, such as a raffle ticket, an event ticket or a product.

When you buy a raffle ticket, you’re entering a draw for prizes, which means it’s considered a “purchase” rather than a donation under HMRC rules.

• If you’d like to add Gift Aid to a donation, you can do this through other fundraising or giving pages on our website.
• Every raffle ticket you buy still helps fund our specialist support services for anyone affected by a brain tumour — so it really does make a difference.

Who can join in?

Our Winter Raffle is open to everyone in Great Britain aged 18 or over — we’d love you to be part of it!

• You must be 18 or over to take part.
• You’ll need to live in Great Britain (England, Scotland or Wales). Sadly, we can’t accept entries from Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands due to local gambling laws.
• Online payments must be made by debit card.
• Brain Tumour Support staff and their families are permitted to enter the Raffle.
• Brain Tumour Support staff and employees of the Raffle service providers who are directly involved with the administration of the Raffle are not eligible to enter.

Buying your tickets online is quick and easy — it only takes a minute.

• Visit our Winter Raffle page and choose how many tickets you’d like.
• Fill in your details and pay securely using a debit card. You must be 18 or over and a resident of Great Britain.
• We’ll email your receipt and ticket numbers soon after checkout — easy!

To keep things secure and fair, we ask for the following details when you buy raffle tickets online:

• Full name and home address (for eligibility and winner notifications)
• Email address and phone number (so we can send confirmation and contact winners)
• Date of birth (to confirm you are 18+)
• Debit card details (payments are processed securely; credit cards aren’t accepted)

How the draw works

We keep things fair, transparent and simple. Once ticket sales close, all eligible entries are securely processed and the draw is carried out automatically by the RallyUp platform.

• All valid entries are confirmed after ticket sales close. Each has its own unique ticket number.
• The RallyUp system automatically and randomly selects the winning ticket numbers — ensuring a fair and unbiased draw.
• Prize winners are contacted directly using the details provided at checkout (usually by email or phone).
• Winning ticket numbers are also published on our website once verified.

Finding out if you’ve won

The Winter Raffle closes at 12 noon on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, and the automated draw takes place at 12 noon on Wednesday, 1 April 2026.

Once ticket sales have closed, winners are automatically selected at random by the secure RallyUp platform. This ensures a fair and transparent process that’s completely independent of Brain Tumour Support staff.

If you’re one of our lucky winners, we’ll contact you directly using the details you provided when buying your tickets — usually by email or phone. Winning ticket numbers will also be published on the Brain Tumour Support website once verified.

Winners must verify their details and claim their prize within 6 months of the draw date, after which Brain Tumour Support will treat the prize as a donation.

Don’t worry — we can help

If you’ve misplaced your raffle ticket, we’ll do our best to help you check your entry status.

• Online entries: we can locate your purchase using your name, email address and purchase date — your entry remains valid even if you no longer have the confirmation email.
• Paper tickets: if you’ve lost a physical ticket but already returned the stub, your entry is still in the draw. If the stub hasn’t been returned yet, please get in touch with us and we’ll advise you on the next steps.
• If you think you’ve made a duplicate purchase by mistake, please let us know as soon as possible.

• Protecting under-18s: The raffle is only open to individuals aged 18 and above residing in Great Britain (England, Scotland, or Wales). We take steps to prevent underage play.
• Playing within your means: we encourage limits on ticket purchases and provide tools and signposting if you need help managing your play.
• Self-exclusion: You can ask to be excluded from our raffles and lotteries at any time by completing our Self-Exclusion Form.
• Fair, transparent draws: entries close and prizes are drawn using a computerised random number generator, then verified by Brain Tumour Support staff before results are published.
