Follow our straightforward recipe to create these delightful bars packed with oats and sweetness. Customise them with your favourite additions like dried fruits or chocolate chips for an extra touch of flavour.

Ingredients

  • 200g unsalted butter
  • 100g golden syrup
  • 100g light brown sugar
  • 300g porridge oats
  • Optional: dried fruits, chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Grease and line a baking tray.
  2. Melt the butter, syrup, and sugar in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
  3. Stir in the oats and any additional ingredients until well combined.
  4. Press the mixture into the prepared baking tray and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool in the tray for 10 minutes, then cut into bars before cooling completely on a wire rack.
