The Darren Tucker Fund was set up by Darren’s sister, Laura, in his memory
It was with huge sadness that in May 2022 we learnt that Laura too had lost her own battle with cancer. The wonderful and generous contribution that Laura made to the work of Brain Tumour Support will forever be a tribute to them both.
The Darren Tucker Champion Fund
Laura told us why she decided to set up her Champion Fund
Fundraising total: £10,000
My name is Laura Tucker. The Champion Fund I have set up is in memory of my brother Darren Tucker, who passed away on the 27 February 2015 from a GBM Grade 4, and who was the bravest man I know.
I have chosen to raise money for Brain Tumour Support to help raise awareness of this terrible disease and I’m looking forward to this challenge.
Local businesses near me in St Austell are helping to collect donations, and many friends and family have already offered lots of help and support for which I am very grateful.
Fundraising Activities
Donations have been raised by family, friends and local businesses through activities including a sponsored head shave. bingo events and car boot sales.
Laura and Brain Tumour Support would like to thank Sue & Paul Tucker, Jack and Marie Caddy, St. Austell Bay Rotary Club, Bethel Community Church and everyone else who has contributed.
