Tina Mitchell Skinner
Founder
As the Founder of Brain Tumour Support, I am incredibly proud knowing all that has been achieved over more than two decades.
Ever since my own family was unexpectedly touched by a brain tumour diagnosis 22 years ago, I have felt compelled to make a difference within the brain tumour community. With an unbridled passion and desire to change how support is delivered for brain tumour families, I have dedicated myself to ensure that the gap between clinical care and wrap-around care and support is bridged.
My financial management, training and development background has been essential to my work at Brain Tumour Support, but it is the inspiration of all the families I have worked with over the years and, fundamentally, the heart which I have for people which has always driven me.
By focusing on what families want and need within their brain tumour journey, I am confident that, in partnership with neuro centres across the UK, we will continue to effectively deliver and grow our support model.
Supporting families today will always be important to me, because it is day to day that it’s needed, and now is more urgent than ever.
My other passions are my family, travelling, Colombian Spanish, shoes and good food.
