The Cathedral to Castle 10-mile multi-terrain run is one of the UK’s most exciting urban and country road events. Starting at Lichfield Cathedral and ending in the grounds of Tamworth Castle, the route takes you through Hopwas Woods and along scenic Staffordshire pathways.

• Date: Sunday 19 April 2026, 08:30 am
• Entry (Early Bird – until 31 July 2025): £29 standard | £36 with coach transport
• Age range: 14–100 years (14–16 must run with an adult)
• Start: Beacon Park, Lichfield
• Finish: Tamworth Castle Grounds

Cathedral to Castle: Route and facilities

This fast, relatively flat, 10-mile multi-terrain route starts at Beacon Park and winds through urban streets, canal towpaths, Hopwas Woods and countryside before finishing beneath Tamworth Castle.

• Water stations every ~3 miles plus finish-line refreshments
• Toilets at the  start and finish
• Trophies for the top three men and women; medals for all finishers
• Branded technical T-shirt for finishers
