Andrew Chater FCA (Chair)
An experienced finance director, Andrew qualified with Deloitte Haskins & Sells in Perth, Western Australia and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia.
Andrew arrived in the UK in 1985 and worked for Howard Tilly before joining George Wimpey PLC where he held a number of senior finance positions until 1996 when he was the FD for the Churngold buyout and successful sale of the waste business in 2003. In 2004 he joined Comunica as finance director and played a key role in the turnaround and sale of the business to Redstone plc. He was CFO at Technetix for nearly 6 years and in March 2015 joined Bellrock FM as Finance Director.
Andrew is married with 2 children, and has known Tina Mitchell Skinner for over 20 years. He has been actively involved with Brain Tumour Support since its inception, as Hammer Out, and took up the role of Chairman in 2012 having served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the 5 years prior to that.
Ken Wilson (Vice Chair)
After graduating from the University of Strathclyde with a BA in Economics, Ken joined Air Products, the manufacturer and supplier of gases to a wide range of industrial, energy, technology and healthcare markets. He held a number of operational, marketing, sales and general management roles within Air Products’ diverse business operations before being appointed to Director Product Management Europe in 2001.
Ken transferred to Air Products medical business in 2001 as Business Manager for their home healthcare business, the provider of medical oxygen and respiratory equipment services to patients within their own home. In 2008 Ken joined Bupa Home Healthcare where, as Operations Director and member of the Executive Leadership Team to 2011, was responsible for drug manufacturing, operations and customer services activities of the business.
Ken is married with two grown-up sons and lives in Camberley in Surrey.
Emma is a company director at the Kudos Group, supplying results focused consultancy and training/development services to the private and public sector. Building on many years experience in the corporate world her consultancy style combines 'hands on' experience and an innovative approach to training solutions, whilst still being able to relate to everyday business challenges and return on investment.
Of herself Emma says "Friends call me Mrs Competitive, colleagues call me Mrs Maverick, My husband calls me Mrs Right! I have a passion for ugly things but am obsessive about time and order; love good food but can’t cook; adore country gardens but can’t garden; compete at any sport."
Over a number of years Kudos have worked with the charity as it has expanded, offering their time and expertise in team building and development, and Emma became a Trustee at Brain Tumour Support in August 2015.
Stephanie has worked in the third sector since 2006, working at Dogs for Good since 2010 and before that as Regional Fundraising Manager (North West) at Diabetes UK.
Managing the Regional/Community and Events Fundraising team at Dogs for Good, Stephanie has also had key roles in other organisational activities, including implementation of the charity’s rebrand (from Dogs for the Disabled) in 2015. Prior to joining the sector she worked as a Trade Marketer for a Field Marketing company and a Customer Development Executive for Britvic Soft Drinks.
Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in Voluntary Sector Management from Cass Business School in London, and a Business & Management degree from the University of Bradford Management School.
She became a Trustee at Brain Tumour Support in June 2017.
