This month Brain Tumour Support is delighted to be introducing a new schedule of Support Sessions to be hosted online via Zoom and focusing on a range of topics of particular relevance and help to those in the brain tumour community.
With our continued priority being the safety of all those we support, and in line with Government guidance, our physical support group meetings remain suspended. However we are excited to find different ways to bring patients and families together and offer the wide range of support and expertise that our experienced team can deliver. Our new Support Sessions reflect this, with some designed to give information and guidance, some to cover health and well-being, and others intended for peer support and as friendship groups. All attendees will benefit from the specialist knowledge and skills of our Support Professionals as well as being able to share their own experiences, feelings, questions and concerns among people who understand.
Most importantly the sessions are designed to be friendly and relaxed, and numbers for many of the sessions will be limited to 8 per meeting, to ensure that everyone can gain maximum benefit from the time together. If the session is over-subscribed there is a waiting list for the next available place, and sessions will be hosted again if the topic proves popular.
A list of Support Sessions coming up this month can be found on our website here – www.braintumoursupport.co.uk/support-sessions
Anyone affected by a brain tumour diagnosis, whether patient, loved one or carer, is welcome to join the sessions and should contact our team to find out more and book a place.
