With the appointment of two Brain Tumour Support Workers for South East Wales, the charity Brain Tumour Support will be launching its support services in this region later this summer and would like to hear from patients, carers and loved ones about how they would like the service to look.
In collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Care, the Velindre Cancer Centre and Maggie's Centre, Brain Tumour Support is holding an engagement drop-in session on Thursday 11th July at Maggie’s - Velindre Cancer Centre, Velindre Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff CF14 2TQ.
Anyone affected in any way by any type of brain tumour is welcome to drop in any time between 2pm and 4pm to share their thoughts on how the service should look.
The event will be an informal opportunity for patients and carers to share what they think a support service should be. They will be able to chat to people already using Brain Tumour Support's services, meet the charity’s Head of Support and their Brain Tumour Support Worker, as well as finding out more about the Maggie’s Centre. There will also be plenty of refreshments available.
Anyone wishing to attend the event, or have input into the Support Service in Wales, should the charity's Support Services Line on 01454 422701 or email email@example.com
