Ben Davies, neurosurgeon from the University of Cambridge, is working with colleagues at the University of Manchester and Liverpool, who believe they have identified something in the way the skin is cleaned before an operation which could help reduce the occurrence of infection. They are planning to test this in patients undergoing brain surgery, but before any clinical trial can be conducted it is essential patients, their carers and the general public are consulted to ensure the research question matters, and the proposed method of the trial is acceptable.
The team are therefore looking for your input to complete a short (10-15 minute) survey. It doesn’t matter whether you have a brain tumour yourself, care for someone who does, or are just involved in the field - all opinions are needed!
At Brain Tumour Support we are committed to improving outcomes and quality of life for patients and their families, and research such as this is vital for that. Do please spare the few minutes to contribute if you can.
