The Bristol Half Marathon is taking place this Sunday 13th September and Brain Tumour Support will be there in force!
We have approximately 30 fabulous runners, headed by international triathlete Rachel Bown, who has herself come through brain tumour diagnosis and life-saving surgery this year. Rachel's story - read it here - is truly inspirational and now, in support of our work and to help raise awareness, she is actually running as our mascot Mr Hippo. Running in a wonderful costume, very generously and skillfully made by Gail Chaplain, there'll be no missing her!
Here are links to some of our runners' sponsorship pages (many are contributing through Rachel's fund) and if you are able to support them that would be greatly appreciated:
We are also looking for more people to join our cheer squad to make plenty of noise and support all our runners on the day - the more the merrier because we really want to be noticed. So if you would like to join us in blowing a hooter, wearing a fun BTS wig or simply waving our fantastic runners on please get in touch with our team as soon as possible for more details about the day.
Hope to see you there!
