Very sadly, Tony was diagnosed with an incurable and aggressive brain tumour in July 2015. Having to face this shattering diagnosis, the family generously decided to raise funds for Brain Tumour Support in dedication of Tony, and the fundraising evening that they held on Friday 4th March truly demonstrated the love and esteem held for him.
The event was held at Short Heath Royal British Legion near Birmingham, and the night included a sponsored head shave, auction and raffle, with Dicky Dodd from Signal 107 Radio leading the auction. With 200 people attending, the night raised an incredible £7,314.
It was an amazing and moving show of support for clearly a much loved man and family, and we are hugely grateful to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
We'd like to express our heartfelt thanks and best wishes to Tony, Gill, Andrew and Helen.
