New to Bandanas For Brain Tumours? - This Is What It's All About!...
Bandanas for Brain Tumours is our annual awareness and fundraising campaign to help promote the Brain Tumour Awareness Month of March and it's so simple to be involved!
Here's a 1, 2, 3 .....
1: WHO can take part?
Wear a bandana, take a photograph and share your picture on social media to spread the word about helping families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis. Take a look at the fun pictures in our 2016 Bandanas Photo Gallery.
We have a specially designed two colour bandana, available in either our charity colours claret and blue, or two-tone grey - grey being the recognised colour for brain tumour awareness.
For a minimum donation of just £2.50 per bandana it’s a fun and fantastic way to not only support the much needed services we provide but also raise public awareness about brain tumours.
2: WHY is awareness and fundraising so important?
The effects of a brain tumour, not just on individuals but also their families, friends and carers, are very often hidden and misunderstood, and can be devastating. Public awareness of this is vital to achieve greater understanding and support.
Every week we receive more requests for help, and we want to be able to ensure that we can provide the best possible range of support to all who need it. For that of course we need support ourselves as the charity relies solely on income raised through fundraising and private donations.
Please help us increase levels of awareness, understanding and support so that no-one has to feel that they are alone when faced with a brain tumour diagnosis.
3: HOW can you make Bandanas for Brain Tumours even more effective?
Get together, have fun!
Do you work for a business that could support us by holding a Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day?
Do your children attend a school which may be interested in fundraising for Bandanas for Brain Tumours?
Are you part of a group, sporting activity, or even a regular at a local pub that might get together to hold a Bandanas for Brain Tumours event in March?
The more people that are involved in the campaign, the greater impact we will have, so why not encourage family, friends and work colleagues to join us and #GoBandanas!
Have fun on Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day! And thank you for your support, we really appreciate it.
